The CMS Router Table System is available in two different models: the
freestanding GE model and the modular MFT/3 add-on VL model. Each of these two
models are available in two versions, with and without optional accessories
included. Below, there are details on what the differences are between the four
configurations of CMS Router Table being offered.

Let's take a more detailed look at what these top-of-the-line router tables have to offer.
The Festool CMS Model GE offers the most flexibility by allowing it to be used in
the folded position on top of a bench, or with the legs unfolded
as a free standing router table. The height of the CMS Model GE matches that of
the MFT/3 MultiFunction Table and Kapex UG extensions, adding additional outfeed
support.
Equipped with the same standard features and functionality as the CMS VL, the CMS
GE simply adds mobility and doesn't require you to own an MFT/3 MultiFunction
Table.
The CMS GE is available in two versions. The Basic Version includes the CMS GE router
table, router module and fence, and auxiliary dust hood w/ starting pin. The Set
Version includes the CMS GE router table, router module and fence, auxiliary dust
hood w/ starting pin, miter gauge, sliding table, table extension, and dust extraction
hose set.
If you already have an MFT/3 Multifunction Table for use with your Festool TS
tracksaw or Festool OF Router, then the CMS VL may be the best option for you.
At a lower cost, the CMS-VL attaches to the V-groove profile on your MFT/3. It
has a single set of legs for support.
The CMS VL shares the same functionality and features as the CMS GE, but cannot
be used as a standalone, free standing router table. It must be used in
conjunction with the MFT/3.
The CMS VL is available in two versions. The Basic Version includes the CMS VL router
table, router module and fence, and auxiliary dust hood w/ starting pin. The Set
Version includes the CMS VL router table, router module and fence, auxiliary dust
hood w/ starting pin, miter gauge, sliding table, and dust extraction
hose set.
